2024 was an eventful year and we’re preparing for a busy 2025. This year, we aim to build on our successes from 2024 and look forward to a prosperous year ahead.

Highlights for 2024

On Country Business

We expanded our partnerships with new Traditional Owner Partners and also increased our work with current Indigenous Partners
We have some exciting new announcements planned for this year with new and expanded services available
We continued to build valuable connections with other Indigenous businesses
Increased opportunities for Indigenous Business across Industry at key events including the Annual AEMEE Conference, Supply Nation Connect, Bowen Basin Mining Club, and QRC Indigenous Procurement
Worked with TO Groups across the OCB Group including:
- Western Kangoulu
- Darumbal
- Wangan & Jagalingou
- Yunbenun
- Birriah

Woongal Environmental Services

Opened a new office/workshop in Emerald to support our growing team and operations in the area
Training and development for our Indigenous Rangers equipping them with new skills in environmental management including cultural burning
Welcomed new clients, expanding our client base and growing into new industries
Established new partnerships with other environmental services businesses

On Country Heritage

Officially launched On Country Heritage to support Traditional Owner groups with protecting, preserving and management of cultural heritage
Expanded our team with additional archaeologists, enhancing our capability in cultural heritage preservation and management projects

Partners On Country

Worked with PeopleIN, our JV Partner, to develop and implement their Reconciliation Action Plan
Broadened our impact through the POC x Edmen partnership, to create new opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the community sector including new job opportunities for youth worker roles
Continue to expand new opportunities for growth in our Indigenous employment numbers

On Country Workforce Solutions

Ongoing projects with the Yunbenun Rangers and QPWS
Delivered mining industry inductions to support workforce readiness
Expanded recruitment services to better support our Partner Businesses
